You will need:
Five Fat Quarters (approx. 19.5″ x 22″ each)
1.20 metres for backing
¼ metre for binding
Batting
Cut all five fat quarters into 5” wide strips along the selvage. Each fat quarter will yield four – 5” wide strips
Cut each 5” wide strip into 9” long rectangles
You will have 40 – 5” x 9” rectangles
Stitch 10 rectangles together, end to end along the 5” wide side. You will make 4 units of ten rectangles
On just two units cut the first rectangle in half and stitch the removed ½ onto the other end of the same strip.
Stitch all four units together making sure that the seam of the adjacent rectangle is in the middle of the rectangle in the next row.
